Career pathways

Industrial mechanic

At our company, industrial mechanics maintain the equipment and assemblies of the machines, set them up, or convert them. They monitor and optimize manufacturing processes and are responsible for repair and maintenance tasks.

Length of training: 3.5 years

Requirements:

Minimum good high school leaving certificate (German “guter Realschulabschluss”)
Confident in dealing with numbers and data
Interest in technical processes
Good manual skills

Mechatronics technician

Mechatronics technicians assemble complex mechanical and electronic systems into functional units. They install and program the relevant software and subsequently commission the systems. Mechatronics technicians are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and production of new mechatronic machines and systems in all manufacturing areas

Length of training: 3.5 years

Requirements:

Minimum very good high school leaving certificate (German “sehr guter Realschulabschluss”)
Confident in dealing with numbers and data
Spatial awareness
Interest in data processing and IT
Fine motor skills

Hello, I'm Lucas and I'm currently training to be a foundry mechanic at BOHAI TRIMET. I like the training here very much, because our trainers take a lot of time for us trainees and our questions and prepare us very well for practice but also theory.

Casting mechanic

Casting mechanics deal with everything directly involved in the casting process. In other words, they are responsible for operating, setting up, and programming the casting machines. In particular, they must set up the die-casting and punching tools. Our casting mechanics also monitor the quality of our products.

Length of training: 3.5 years

Requirements:

Minimum high school leaving certificate (German “Realschulabschluss”)
Confident in dealing with numbers and data
Good manual skills
Interest in technical processes

Tool mechanic

Tool mechanics produce tools and tool segments, among other things. We refer to die-casting molds as tools. Tool mechanics must be able to read and implement technical drawings and thus assemble and repair die-casting, stamping, and forming tools. To do so, they work with computer-controlled lathes and milling and drilling machines, among other resources.

Length of training: 3.5 years

Hello, my name is Jörn. I am currently learning the profession of tool mechanic here at BOHAI TRIMET in Harzgerode and feel very much at home in the company. Due to the constantly growing requirements in this field, the training remains exciting and I can further develop my technical previous knowledge.

Machinist

Machinists process metal workpieces, either manually or mechanically, using machining processes such as turning, milling, and grinding. They manufacture individual components and join them to make subassemblies. In addition, they configure and maintain machine tools and control the functioning of the machines. They then check the quality of the manufactured components.

Length of training: 3.5 years

Machine and plant operator

Machine and plant operators run, monitor, and equip machines. They maintain the machines and replace worn-out parts. In addition, they document any machine malfunctions and subsequently check the quality of the products.

Minimum high-school diploma (German “Hauptschulabschluss”)
Proficient in dealing with numbers and data
Interest in technical processes
Good manual skills

Industrial clerk

Industrial clerks deal with commercial and business-management tasks at our company. Their work lies in the areas of purchasing, sales, logistics, human resource management, finance and accounting, and production control. For example, they process dunning and accounting transactions, order goods and services, utilize HR management tools, prepare quotations, and control the logistics and production process.

Length of training: 3 years

Requirements:

Minimum very good high school leaving certificate (German "sehr guter Realschulabschluss")
Confident in dealing with numbers and data
Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Careful and conscientious approach to work
Interest in commercial processes

Hello, my name is Cassandra and I am currently doing an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at BOHAI TRIMET, because I attach great importance to a practice-oriented training and the company with its values and future-oriented approach appealed to me very much. Even as a trainee, you take on challenging and varied tasks in the specialist departments, which allows us to get to know the company from different perspectives. I feel very comfortable in the company because the working atmosphere is very pleasant and the interaction with each other is very respectful.
